Surah Al Ikhlas Meaning and Translation

Surah Al-Ikhlas (Chapter 112) of the Quran is a concise but profound declaration of the essence of monotheism. It consists of four verses that emphasize the oneness and absolute uniqueness of Allah. Here is the transliteration and translation of Surah Al-Ikhlas:

Arabic: قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌۢ

Translation: Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One, Allah, the Eternal Refuge, He neither begets nor is born, Nor is there to Him any equivalent."

Surah Al-Ikhlas succinctly outlines the core belief in Islam about Allah's nature: that He is one, eternal, self-sufficient, without offspring, without parentage, and incomparable. This surah is often recited in daily prayers and holds a significant place in Islamic theology and practice for its clear expression of the concept of Tawhid, the oneness of Allah.
